Description:
The issue is related to a memory leak in the OBJ obj2txt function, which can be exploited by remote attackers to cause a denial of service through excessive memory consumption. This can be achieved by sending a large number of ASN.1 object identifiers in X.509 certificates.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 2.3.1, update to version 2.3.1 or later to resolve the issue.
