Description:
An issue was discovered on Samsung mobile devices, where there is a muic set reg sel heap-based buffer overflow during the reading of MUIC register values.
Recommendations:
For Samsung mobile devices with L(5.1) software, update to a version that fixes the muic set reg sel heap-based buffer overflow issue.
For Samsung mobile devices with M(6.x) software, update to a version that fixes the muic set reg sel heap-based buffer overflow issue.
For Samsung mobile devices with N(7.x) software, update to a version that fixes the muic set reg sel heap-based buffer overflow issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the MUIC register values to minimize the risk of exploitation.
