Description An issue was discovered in Open Ticket Request System (OTRS) where an attacker who is logged in as an agent or customer user with appropriate permissions can create a carefully crafted string containing malicious JavaScript code as an article body. This malicious code is executed when an agent composes an answer to the original article.
Recommendations For Open Ticket Request System (OTRS) versions 7.0.x through 7.0.11, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. For Open Ticket Request System (OTRS) Community Edition versions 5.0.x through 5.0.37, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. For Open Ticket Request System (OTRS) Community Edition versions 6.0.x through 6.0.22, update to a version outside of this range to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the ability to create articles with JavaScript code in the body until a patch is available.
