6.1
Medium
| Vector | AV:A/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Dialog Semiconductor SDK versions through 5.0.4 for DA14580/1/2/3 devices
Description
The Bluetooth Low Energy implementation does not properly restrict the L2CAP payload length, allowing attackers in radio range to cause a buffer overflow via a crafted Link Layer packet.
Recommendations
For versions through 5.0.4, consider restricting access to the Bluetooth Low Energy implementation until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid using the L2CAP protocol in the affected devices until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
