| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
iWebShop version 5.3
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a malicious POST request to the "/index.php?controller=system&action=admin edit act" API endpoint. This is a Cross Site Request Forgery (CSRF) issue, which is a type of attack that tricks a user into performing unintended actions on a web application.
Recommendations:
For iWebShop version 5.3, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "/index.php?controller=system&action=admin edit act" API endpoint until a patch is available. Additionally, avoid using the
controller and action parameters in this endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
