Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Jeesns version 1.4.2
Description:
A stored cross-site scripting (XSS) issue exists in the /article/add component, allowing attackers to execute arbitrary web scripts or HTML via a crafted payload in a posted article. The "article/add" endpoint is vulnerable, specifically through the posted article content.
Recommendations:
For Jeesns version 1.4.2, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the /article/add component until a patch is available. Restrict access to this component to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using this component to post new articles until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
