CVE-2020-21588

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Core FTP LE version 2.2
Description: The issue allows local attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash, by entering a long string in the Setup->Users->Username editbox. This is due to a buffer overflow.
Recommendations: For Core FTP LE version 2.2, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting the input length in the Setup->Users->Username editbox to prevent the buffer overflow until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
