The issue affects several file systems in FreeBSD, including tmpfs(5), smbfs(5), autofs(5), and mqueuefs(5), which were not properly initializing the
d off field of the dirent structures returned by VOP READDIR. This results in the potential leak of eight uninitialized kernel stack bytes to userspace.Recommendations:
