CVE-2020-26155

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Utimaco SecurityServer versions 4.20.0.4 through 4.31.1.0
Description: The issue allows for binaries to be manipulated by non-administrator users due to weak Read/Write permissions for authenticated users on multiple files and folders. Additionally, entries made to the PATH environment variable could enable an attacker to perform a DLL hijacking attack.
Recommendations: For Utimaco SecurityServer versions 4.20.0.4 through 4.31.1.0, consider restricting the Read/Write permissions for authenticated users to prevent binary manipulation. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the PATH environment variable to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
