Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
PrusaSlicer versions 2.2.0 and Master (commit 4b040b856)
Description:
A stack-based buffer overflow issue exists in the
Objparser::objparse() functionality. This can be triggered by a specially crafted obj file, potentially leading to code execution. An attacker can exploit this by providing a malicious file.Recommendations:
For PrusaSlicer version 2.2.0, consider disabling the
Objparser::objparse() function until a patch is available.
For PrusaSlicer Master (commit 4b040b856), restrict the use of the Objparser::objparse() functionality to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
