CVE-2020-35655

CVSS v3.1

9.1

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Pillow versions prior to 8.1.0
Description: The issue arises from a 4-byte buffer over-read in the SGIRleDecode function when decoding crafted SGI RLE image files. This occurs due to the mishandling of offsets and length tables.
Recommendations: For Pillow versions prior to 8.1.0, update to version 8.1.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of the SGIRleDecode function for decoding SGI RLE image files until a patch is applied.
