CVE-2020-35937

CVSS v3.1

8.0

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:L/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Team Showcase plugin versions prior to 1.22.16 for WordPress
Description: The issue allows remote authenticated attackers to import layouts including JavaScript supplied via a remotely hosted crafted payload in the source parameter via AJAX, with the action set to team import xml layouts. This enables Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) attacks.
Recommendations: For versions prior to 1.22.16, update to version 1.22.16 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the AJAX endpoint used for importing layouts or disabling the team import xml layouts action until a patch is applied. Avoid using the source parameter in the affected AJAX endpoint until the issue is resolved.
