| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Android versions Android-11
Description:
The issue is related to possible memory corruption due to a use after free in the StopServicesAndLogViolations function of reboot.cpp. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations:
For Android version Android-11, consider restricting access to the StopServicesAndLogViolations function in reboot.cpp until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the affected function may help minimize the risk of exploitation.
