Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Android versions Android-11
Description:
The issue is related to a permissions bypass in the
getMinimalSize function of PipBoundsAlgorithm.java, which could allow for local escalation of privilege without needing additional execution privileges. User interaction is not required for exploitation.Recommendations:
For Android version Android-11, consider restricting the use of the
PipBoundsAlgorithm.java function until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, avoid using the getMinimalSize function in PipBoundsAlgorithm.java to minimize the risk of exploitation.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.RCE
