CVE-2021-0576
CVSS v2.0
4.6
Medium
| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Android versions prior to the fixed version
Description:
The issue is related to a missing bounds check in the flv extractor, which could lead to a possible out of bounds write. This could result in local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not required for exploitation.
Recommendations:
For Android versions prior to the fixed version, consider restricting access to the flv extractor until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the vulnerable component may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
