CVE-2021-0693

CVSS v3.1

5.5

Medium

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Android versions Android-11
Description In the openFile method of HeapDumpProvider.java, there is a possible way to retrieve generated heap dumps from debuggable apps due to an unprotected provider. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations For Android version Android-11, consider restricting access to the HeapDumpProvider to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, disabling debug mode for apps could help mitigate the issue until a proper fix is applied.
