Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android versions Android-12
Description
The issue is related to a missing permission check in the broadcast definition in AndroidManifest.xml, which could allow setting the A2DP bluetooth device connection state. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.
Recommendations
For Android version Android-12, consider restricting access to the broadcast definition in AndroidManifest.xml to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, review and ensure proper permission checks are in place for A2DP bluetooth device connections.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
