7.2
High
| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Android kernel
Description
The issue is related to a possible out of bounds write in the
eicOpsDecryptAes128Gcm function of acropora/app/identity/identity support.c due to a missing bounds check. This could lead to local escalation of privilege with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation.Recommendations
For Android kernel, consider applying a patch that includes a bounds check in the
eicOpsDecryptAes128Gcm function to prevent out of bounds writes. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to sensitive areas of the system to minimize the risk of exploitation.Fix
Memory Corruption
