Description: A stack overflow issue was addressed with improved input validation. Processing a maliciously crafted text file may lead to arbitrary code execution. The issue is related to CoreText TTF parsing and can result in a stack-based buffer overflow or out-of-bounds write, allowing for remote code execution.
Recommendations: For macOS versions prior to 11.2, update to macOS Big Sur 11.2 or later. For Security Update versions prior to 2021-001 Catalina, apply Security Update 2021-001 Catalina or later.
