Description:
The issue is related to an inadequate account lockout setting in IBM Guardium Data Encryption (GDE), which could allow a remote attacker to brute force account credentials.
Recommendations:
For IBM Guardium Data Encryption (GDE) version 4.0.0.4, consider increasing the account lockout setting to prevent brute force attacks on account credentials. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to the system to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
