| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Jenkins Nomad Plugin versions 0.7.4 and earlier
Description
The issue allows Docker passwords to be stored unencrypted in the global
config.xml file on the Jenkins controller. These passwords can be viewed by users with access to the Jenkins controller file system. The passwords are part of the worker templates configuration and are used to authenticate against the Docker registry.Recommendations
For Jenkins Nomad Plugin versions 0.7.4 and earlier, update to version 0.7.5 or later to encrypt the Docker passwords. After updating, restart Jenkins for the change to take effect. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the Jenkins controller file system to minimize the risk of password exposure.
Fix
