Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in the SGI Format Buffer Size Processing functionality. This can be triggered by a specially crafted malformed file, leading to memory corruption. An attacker can exploit this by providing a malicious file.

For Accusoft ImageGear version 19.8, consider avoiding the use of SGI Format Buffer Size Processing functionality until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the processing of malformed files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
