CVE-2021-23363

CVSS v2.0

6.5

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions kill-by-port versions prior to 0.0.2
Description The issue allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands if attacker-controlled user input is given to the killByPort() function. This is due to the use of the child process exec function without input sanitization.
Recommendations For versions prior to 0.0.2, update to version 0.0.2 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the killByPort() function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the child process exec function to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the killByPort() function with untrusted user input until the issue is resolved.
