CVE-2021-23376

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions ffmpegdotjs (affected versions not specified)
Description The issue allows an attacker to execute arbitrary commands if attacker-controlled user input is given to the trimvideo function. This is due to the use of the child process exec function without input sanitization, which can lead to command execution.
Recommendations As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the trimvideo function until a patch is available. Restrict access to the child process exec function to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
