Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Video Gallery WordPress plugin versions prior to 1.1.5
Description
The issue concerns Stored Cross-Site Scripting, where the Title and Description of videos in a gallery are not properly escaped before being outputted in attributes. This leads to potential security issues.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 1.1.5, update to version 1.1.5 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the output of video titles and descriptions in attributes until a patch is available. Restrict access to the video gallery feature to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using user-provided input for video titles and descriptions in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
