CVE-2021-24801
CVSS v2.0
4.3
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
WP Survey Plus WordPress plugin versions 1.0 and earlier
Description:
The issue is related to the lack of authorization and CSRF checks in the AJAX actions of the plugin, allowing any user to call them and perform actions such as adding, editing, or deleting surveys. Additionally, the lack of sanitization in the surveys' title can lead to Stored Cross-Site Scripting issues.
Recommendations:
For WP Survey Plus WordPress plugin versions 1.0 and earlier, consider disabling the AJAX actions until a patch is available. Restrict access to the surveys' title field to minimize the risk of Stored Cross-Site Scripting issues. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the plugin's survey management features until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
