Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
OpenEMR versions 4.2.0 through 6.0.0
Description
The issue is related to Reflected Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) due to improper validation of user input. An attacker could trick a user into clicking on a malicious URL, resulting in the execution of malicious code.
Recommendations
For versions 4.2.0 through 6.0.0, consider validating user input properly to prevent Reflected Cross-Site-Scripting (XSS) attacks. As a temporary workaround, restrict access to potentially vulnerable API endpoints until a patch is available.
