Description A remote authenticated command injection issue was discovered in the ClearPass CLI, allowing remote authenticated users to run arbitrary commands on the underlying host. This could enable an attacker to execute arbitrary commands as root on the underlying operating system, leading to complete system compromise.

Recommendations For versions prior to 6.9.5, update to version 6.9.5 or later. For version 6.8.8-HF1, update to a version later than 6.8.8-HF1. For version 6.7.14-HF1, update to a version later than 6.7.14-HF1. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ClearPass CLI until a patch is available.
