CVE-2021-26722

CVSS v3.1

6.1

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:L/I:L/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions LinkedIn Oncall versions 1.4.0 and earlier
Description The issue arises from the mishandling of the "No results found for" message in the search bar, allowing reflected XSS via the "/query" API endpoint. This occurs because of improper handling of user input, which can lead to the execution of malicious scripts.
Recommendations For LinkedIn Oncall versions 1.4.0 and earlier, consider disabling the search bar functionality or restricting access to the "/query" API endpoint until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the search bar with untrusted input to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
