Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow vulnerability in the
SetFirewall function within index.cgi of the CIRCUTOR COMPACT DC-S BASIC smart metering concentrator. This vulnerability allows attackers to execute arbitrary code.Recommendations
For version CIR CDC v1.2.17, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the
SetFirewall function in index.cgi until a patch is available. Restrict access to the index.cgi to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
