Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Autodesk FBX Review versions 1.5.0 and prior
Description:
The issue allows an attacker to trick a user into opening a malicious FBX file, potentially exploiting a Null Pointer Dereference, causing the application to crash and leading to a denial of service. This could result in remote code execution.
Recommendations:
For versions 1.5.0 and prior, consider avoiding the use of untrusted FBX files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, restrict the opening of FBX files from unknown sources to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
