Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
LG mobile devices with Android OS 11 software
Description:
An issue was discovered on LG mobile devices where they mishandle fingerprint recognition. This occurs because local high beam mode (LHBM) does not function properly during bright illumination.
Recommendations:
For LG mobile devices with Android OS 11 software, consider restricting the use of fingerprint recognition in bright environments until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, users may need to rely on alternative authentication methods, such as PINs or passwords, in situations where fingerprint recognition may be compromised. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
