CVSS v3.1
5.9
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Couchbase Server versions 6.x through 6.6.1
Description:
An issue was discovered in the Couchbase Server UI where it insecurely logs session cookies in the logs. This allows for the impersonation of a user if the log files are obtained by an attacker before a session cookie expires.
Recommendations:
For Couchbase Server versions 6.x through 6.6.1, consider restricting access to log files to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, review and configure logging settings to prevent the storage of sensitive session information. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
