CVE-2021-28675

CVSS v4.0

7.1

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/AT:N/PR:N/UI:P/VC:N/VI:N/VA:H/SC:N/SI:N/SA:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Pillow versions prior to 8.2.0
Description: An issue was discovered in Pillow where PSDImagePlugin.PsdImageFile lacked a sanity check on the number of input layers relative to the size of the data block. This could lead to a Denial of Service (DoS) on Image.open prior to Image.load.
Recommendations: For Pillow versions prior to 8.2.0, update to version 8.2.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of PSDImagePlugin.PsdImageFile until a patch is available.
