CVSS v2.0
3.5
Low
| Vector | AV:N/AC:M/Au:S/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Oracle WebLogic Server versions 10.3.6.0.0 through 12.1.3.0.0
Description
The issue is related to insufficient access control in the Web Services component of Oracle WebLogic Server, allowing a high-privileged attacker with network access via HTTP to compromise the server. Successful attacks require human interaction from a person other than the attacker and can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of Oracle WebLogic Server accessible data.
Recommendations
For versions 10.3.6.0.0 and 12.1.3.0.0, consider restricting access to the Web Services component until a patch is available.
As a temporary workaround, limit the use of HTTP protocol for remote access to minimize the risk of exploitation.
Avoid relying on user interaction to prevent attacks, and instead, focus on securing the server configuration to prevent unauthorized access.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
