| Vector | AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Trend Micro Password Manager (Consumer) versions 5.0.0.1217 and below
Description:
The issue is related to an Integer Truncation Privilege Escalation, which could allow a local attacker to trigger a buffer overflow and escalate privileges on affected installations. To exploit this, an attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system.
Recommendations:
For versions 5.0.0.1217 and below, update to a version above 5.0.0.1217 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive areas of the system to minimize the risk of exploitation.
