Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
OpenPLC runtime versions V3 through 2016-03-14
Description
The issue allows stored XSS via the
Device Name to the web server's "Add New Device" page. This can lead to malicious script execution when the page is accessed.Recommendations
For OpenPLC runtime versions V3 through 2016-03-14, consider restricting access to the "Add New Device" page until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
Device Name field in the web server's Add New Device page to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
