CVE-2021-21153

CVSS v3.1

8.8

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Google Chrome versions prior to 88.0.4324.182
Description The issue is caused by a stack buffer overflow in the GPU Process of Google Chrome. This can allow a remote attacker to potentially perform out of bounds memory access via a crafted HTML page. The exploitation of this issue may enable an attacker to execute arbitrary code.
Recommendations For versions prior to 88.0.4324.182, update to version 88.0.4324.182 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to potentially vulnerable GPU Process components until a patch is applied. Avoid using crafted HTML pages that could trigger the stack buffer overflow in the GPU Process.
