CVE-2021-21132

CVSS v3.1

9.6

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:C/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: Google Chrome versions prior to 88.0.4324.96
Description: The issue is related to an inappropriate implementation in DevTools in Google Chrome, which could allow a remote attacker to potentially perform a sandbox escape via a crafted Chrome Extension. This is due to incorrect restriction of visualized UI layers. The exploitation of this issue may enable a remote attacker to bypass existing security restrictions.
Recommendations: For Google Chrome versions prior to 88.0.4324.96, update to version 88.0.4324.96 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the use of crafted Chrome Extensions until a patch is applied. Restrict access to DevTools to minimize the risk of exploitation.
