Description:
The issue is related to Buffer Overflow, with multiple out-of-bounds vulnerabilities in some processes of D-Link AC2600(DIR-2640). Local ordinary users can overwrite the global variables in the .bss section, causing the process to crash or change.
Recommendations:
For D-Link DIR-2640-US version 1.01B04, consider restricting access to the affected processes until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, disabling the vulnerable functionality may help minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
