CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions: ProfilePress WordPress plugin versions 3.0.0 through 3.1.3
Description: A vulnerability in the file uploader component found in the ~/src/Classes/FileUploader.php file made it possible for users to upload arbitrary files during user registration or during profile updates.
Recommendations: For versions 3.0.0 through 3.1.3, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent arbitrary file uploads. As a temporary workaround, consider disabling the file uploader component until a patch is available. Restrict access to the ~/src/Classes/FileUploader.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
