Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Intel(R) Ethernet I210 Controller series of network adapters versions prior to 3.30
Description:
The issue is related to improper default permissions in the firmware, which may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable denial of service via local access. This could be exploited by an attacker to cause a disruption in service.
Recommendations:
For versions prior to 3.30, update the firmware to version 3.30 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting local access to the network adapters to minimize the risk of exploitation.
