4.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:S/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Oracle MySQL versions 8.0.26 and prior
Description:
A vulnerability in the MySQL Server product allows a high privileged attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise the server. Successful attacks can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of MySQL Server accessible data. The vulnerability is easily exploitable and can also cause a hang or frequently repeatable crash of the MySQL Server.
Recommendations:
For versions 8.0.26 and prior, update to a version later than 8.0.26 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting network access to the MySQL Server to minimize the risk of exploitation. Additionally, restrict access to sensitive data to prevent unauthorized read access.
