CVE-2021-36219

CVSS v3.1

9.8

Critical

VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions SKALE sgxwallet versions 1.58.3 through 1.76.x
Description An issue was discovered in SKALE sgxwallet where the provided input for ECALL 14 triggers a branch in trustedEcdsaSign that frees a non-initialized pointer from the stack. An attacker can chain multiple enclave calls to prepare a stack that contains a valid address. This address is then freed, resulting in compromised integrity of the enclave.
Recommendations For SKALE sgxwallet versions 1.58.3 through 1.76.x, update to version 1.77.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ECALL 14 endpoint until a patch is available.

Fix

Access of Uninitialized Pointer
