Description
The issue is related to an out-of-bounds write vulnerability in Adobe Photoshop, which can be exploited by an unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. This requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. The vulnerability is associated with the recording of data beyond the boundaries of a buffer in memory.
Recommendations
For Adobe Photoshop versions 21.2.4 and earlier, update to a version later than 21.2.4 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Photoshop versions 22.1.1 and earlier, update to a version later than 22.1.1 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the opening of files from untrusted sources to minimize the risk of exploitation.
