Description The issue is related to a use-after-free vulnerability when parsing a specially crafted PDF file, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to disclose sensitive information in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file.
Recommendations For Adobe Acrobat Pro DC versions 2020.013.20074 and earlier, update to a version later than 2020.013.20074 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Acrobat Pro DC versions 2020.001.30018 and earlier, update to a version later than 2020.001.30018 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Acrobat Pro DC versions 2017.011.30188 and earlier, update to a version later than 2017.011.30188 to resolve the issue. For Adobe Reader and Adobe Acrobat, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of setAction until a patch is available. Restrict access to specially crafted PDF files to minimize the risk of exploitation.
