Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
spotweb versions 1.5.1 and below
Description
The issue is a cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the templates/installer/step-004.inc.php file. This allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the
firstname parameter.Recommendations
For spotweb versions 1.5.1 and below, consider restricting access to the templates/installer/step-004.inc.php file until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the
firstname parameter in the affected template to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
