Description
A memory corruption vulnerability exists when parsing a specially crafted PDF file, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to achieve arbitrary code execution in the context of the current user. Exploitation requires user interaction, where a victim must open a malicious file. This issue is related to a buffer overflow in memory.
Recommendations
For Adobe Acrobat Reader DC versions 2020.013.20074 and earlier, update to a version later than 2020.013.20074 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Acrobat Reader DC versions 2020.001.30018 and earlier, update to a version later than 2020.001.30018 to resolve the issue.
For Adobe Acrobat Reader DC versions 2017.011.30188 and earlier, update to a version later than 2017.011.30188 to resolve the issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the use of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC to open PDF files from untrusted sources until a patch is available.
