VectorAV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Contact Form With Captcha WordPress plugin versions up to, and including 1.6.2
Description The issue is related to Cross-Site Request Forgery due to missing nonce validation in the ~/cfwc-form.php file during contact form submission. This allowed attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts.
Recommendations For versions up to, and including 1.6.2, update to a version that includes nonce validation to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the ~/cfwc-form.php file to minimize the risk of exploitation.
