CVE-2021-43391

CVSS v3.1

7.8

High

VectorAV:L/AC:L/PR:N/UI:R/S:U/C:H/I:H/A:H
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK versions prior to 2022.11
Description The issue exists within the parsing of DXF files, where crafted data can trigger a read past the end of an allocated buffer, allowing an attacker to execute code in the context of the current process. The specific problem is caused by an invalid dash counter in line types.
Recommendations For versions prior to 2022.11, update to a version 2022.11 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting the use of DXF files from untrusted sources until a patch is available. Avoid using the Drawings SDK to parse potentially crafted DXF files until the issue is resolved.
